Richard Schoninger Memorial Fund

This memorial fund honors the life of Richard Schoninger, a devoted father who believed in the power of opportunity, mentorship, and the lessons learned on and off the basketball court.

Richard took great pride in his children Scott and Jacqueline. Jacqueline, a New Heights alum and active member of the Emerging Leaders Council. Richard valued the role basketball and the New Heights community played in shaping her confidence, discipline, and leadership, and he supported her continued commitment to giving back through the organization.

Gifts made in Richard’s memory will support New Heights' work with female student-athletes across New York City, using basketball as a platform to build skills, confidence, and pathways to college and careers.
