Rich Kleiman
Co-Founder
35V and Boardroom

Rich Kleiman is Kevin Durant’s manager, as well as co-founder of 35V and Boardroom. Founded in 2017, 35V incorporates the duo’s existing business entities, including Durant’s personal brand/marketing portfolio and on-court contracts; their diverse investment portfolio; the emerging media and creative development arm; and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation.

Kleiman personally oversees the company’s diverse investment portfolio, which includes Overtime, a leading sports network focused on young, digital-native sports fans; online digital-currency platform Coinbase, spare-change app Acorns, cloud-computing startup Rubrik, drink company WTRMLN WTR, fast-casual pizza chain Pieology, bike-sharing company LimeBike, delivery company Postmates, and many more.

Media projects under the 35V umbrella include the six-episode series called The Boardroom, an ESPN+ project that examines the ins and outs of sports business and illuminates the world of sports far beyond what fans ordinarily see; the forthcoming original basketball-themed scripted series "SWAGGER," in partnership with Imagine Entertainment and Apple, and “Q Ball”, the documentary in conjunction with Fox Sports Films, which premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival this year.

Rich is heavily involved in the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation helping to complete new basketball court renovations across the globe and opening the Durant Center in Maryland’s Prince George’s County, which helps low-income and underserved students enroll and graduate from college. The Durant Center space is home for the program, and it is the first of many collaborations between the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation and Prince George’s County. The Durant Center will look to expand and grow its programming in the years to come.

Previously, Kleiman helped launch Roc Nation Sports, where he served as Vice President of the agency founded by Jay-Z. Kleiman started with Roc Nation in 2008 as a music manager representing Mark Ronson, his high school friend, who was his most famous client at the time. He gave a boost to Ronson’s career, even getting him the DJ gig at Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise’s wedding. He went on to helm Ronson’s independent label, Allido Records. Kleiman also represented Solange, Wale & many more. Kleiman has also served as executive producer on HBO’s The Offseason: Kevin Durant and Jay-Z’s Fade To Black.
