Leadership and Service Award Recipients:

The Leadership and Service Award was introduced to acknowledge individuals within the New Heights community who represent the ideals and beliefs we wish to instill in our student-athletes and our core values of teamwork, respect, excellence and effort. Jonathan Marotta and Jesse Rothstein exemplify all of these traits and we are excited to spotlight their commitment and dedication to our youth.

JONATHAN MAROTTA: 
Jon is an integral part of the New Heights family and a true leader with the organization. Jon is a Managing Director at Crescent Capital focusing on mezzanine. Prior to joining the team in 2010, he spent over 10 years investing in mezzanine, including roles as a Principal of Intermediate Capital Group, Inc. and York Street Capital Partners LLC. Jon began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. 

Jon is an member of the New Heights Board of Directors and has been a longtime supporter of New Heights and the youth and families we serve. He also is a current and former member of the Board of several other non-profit and private companies. He received his BS from the University of Illinois and is an avid hoops junkie.

JESSE ROTHSTEIN: 
Jesse has been involved with New Heights as a volunteer coach since our early days, and is well deserving of this honor. He is the Key Accounts Manager at LinkedIn Sales Solutions, he works with a team focused on using technology to transform the sales profession. Leveraging insights, relationships, and the global LinkedIn network.

Jesse’s career has spanned the globe, including working in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. He has a passion for working with clients and enjoys helping them challenge the ‘status quo’ with new technologies and strategies to expand their business performance.

He has a strong interest in volunteering and public service outside of professional activities. He has patrolled the sidelines as a New Heights Saturday Skills coach and serves on the New Heights Emerging Leaders Council (ELC). Jesse graduated from Cornell with BA in Policy Analysis and Business Management.

CAMERON SUTTON JR.:
Cam is a great example of a New Heights student-athlete. He grew up in Queens and attended Bayside High School. Seeking a more competitive academic and athletic experience, and with support from New Heights, Cam enrolled at Kimball Union Academy, a top boarding school in New Hampshire. Cam then attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and was a key contributor on the basketball team. He graduated in 2013 with a B.A. degree in Economics.

Cam is now a successful businessman who has been working for several years for the City of New York. He currently works as a Senior Contract Manager for the NYC Department of Correction. A hard worker and entrepreneur at heart, he is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson for Exit Realty with a growing career and track record in the field.

For all that he has done on the court, in the classroom and in the community, Cam is a great role model for the next generation and a deserving recipient of our Alumni Award.
