New Heights alums are making their mark early in the women's college basketball season. Seton Hall senior Didi Simmons has led her team to a 3-0 start and scored 18 pts, grabbed 10 boards and dished out four assist in a victory over Rider. Her twin sister, Desi, is averaging 11 pints for the 1-1 St. Rose squad. Her teammate, Staci Barrett, is averaging 10 points per game plus 7 rebounds. Tia Scott, a sophomore at Merrimack, scored 14 points and dished out seven assist in an 86-77 victory over Mansfield U. At Adelphi, Sade Jackson and Jenna Halaby led the team to an opening game victory. Sade almost had a triple-double (13pts, 10 assists, 8 rebounds), while Jenna had 19 points and 5 boards.
