Meet Cameron Sutton Jr.: MADNESS'18 Alumni Honoree

There are not many programs around the city or the country for that matter like New heights. The term student-athlete is now commonly used, but that concept is truly embedded in New Heights’ mission since it’s inception. They were innovative and had a vision for young women and men like myself. They knew what I could be before I even saw it.”

Cameron Sutton Jr.
New Heights Class of 2009

Cam is a great example of a New Heights student-athlete. He grew up in Queens and attended Bayside High School. Seeking a more competitive academic and athletic experience, and with support from New Heights, Cam enrolled at Kimball Union Academy, a top boarding school in New Hampshire. Cam then attended Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and was a key contributor on the basketball team. He graduated in 2013 with a B.A. degree in Economics.

Cam is now a successful businessman who has been working for several years for the City of New York. He currently works as a Senior Contract Manager for the NYC Department of Correction. A hard worker and entrepreneur at heart, he is also a licensed Real Estate Salesperson for Exit Realty with a growing career and track record in the field.

For all that he has done on the court, in the classroom and in the community, Cam is a great role model for the next generation and a deserving recipient of our Alumni Award.
