Adonis James was born and raised in Petersburg, VA, where he played basketball for Petersburg High. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Finance from Old Dominion University and began his career running a real estate wholesale business, helping investors acquire residential properties.

He later transitioned into finance and has spent the past four years as a Capital Markets Relationship Manager at S&P Global. Passionate about mentorship and youth development, Adonis strives to show young people that while sports teach valuable life lessons, they can also pursue rewarding careers beyond athletics.

He is proud to be part of New Heights and looks forward to contributing to its mission of empowering youth to achieve their goals.
