Dominque Pagan (left) began her involvement with New Heights at the age of 12 while in the seventh grade. She is now a senior at the Westtown School in Pennsylvania, and she previously attended St. Thomas Aquinas School in the Bronx. She considers New Heights her "home" and says that, "The coaches and staff are very welcoming and warm."
She currently sports an 87 GPA and performed extremely well on her SAT's. An aspiring computer programmer, her favorite subject is math, and she is looking at a variety of colleges and universities to continue her academic and athletic careers. According to Rocky Rosa, her coach at New Heights, she is "a very consistent and diligent learner and a true leader."
On the court, Dominique is just as prolific as she is in the classroom. As a sophomore at St. Thomas Aquinas, she averaged 11 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocked shots per game. Now, at the Westtown School, she is one of the best players in Western Pennsylvania.
During the past few years, Dominique has served as a role model for younger kids in the New Heights program by helping to lead our Saturday Skills program. She explains, "I used to despise the conditioning drills...Now I love to condition and share what I've learned with the younger players."
Dominique epitomizes the term "student athlete," and, at New Heights, we are very proud of her.
The Barry Brothers

Ousman and Ali Barry
The Barry family has already left an indelible mark on the New Heights program even though two of its members, Ousman and Ali, are only in the tenth grade. Four Barry brothers have participated in the New Heights program, and each of them has enjoyed tremendous success.
Currently a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, Seck Barry became involved with the New Heights program in middle school. Thanks in part to the High School Assist program, he secured a spot at the prestigious St. Alban's School in Washington, D.C. At St. Alban's, he was the President of his class, an honors student and a three-sport star athlete. He is now a freshman and member of the Track and Field Team at the University of Pennsylvania. Like Seck, Mohammed and Boubacar Barry are standout student-athletes. They are freshmen at Sacred Heart University and the University of the District of Columbia, respectively.
Now, Ousman and Ali Barry are following in their older brothers' footsteps. Both sophomores at the Hill School in Pottstown, PA, the twins are excelling in sports and in the classroom as they strive to make the most of their four-year scholarships.
Abraham Barry, the father of the accomplished Barry boys, speaks highly of the New Heights experience: "I am so grateful for what New Heights has done for my kids. New Heights has changed my family's life - my kids have been given the opportunity to attend some of the very best high schools in the country. They will have a chance to go to excellent colleges and live great lives. As a parent, it has been a dream come true - providing a great education for my kids and a foundation for my family."
The Barry brothers embody the New Heights ethos of school, sports and family.
