2013: Scenes from the Court

The 2013 season was another successful one for all of the basketball teams at New Heights. Our high school student-athletes got the chance to play against the best competition in the country and in front of hundreds of college coaches. Not only did New Heights win numerous tournament championships, but, more importantly, several of our student-athletes received full athletic scholarship offers from some of the top Universities in the country. Here are some of the highlights:

HIGH SCHOOL
● Our 17U Boys team finished the season in grand fashion by winning the prestigious adidas Super 64 tournament in Las Vegas for the first time in program history by going 9-0 over a five-day period.
● The 17U Boys team finished ranked No. 5 in the country, according to indihoops.com.
● Of the 10 student-athletes on our girls 16U Blue squad, six have already accepted full scholarships to play basketball in college.
● Our 16U and 15U boys’ teams reached the Elite 8 in Las Vegas.
● According to indihoops.com, our 15U team was the 22nd best team in the nation.
● New Heights’ girls 16U White team had a very successful season, winning their pools at Boo Williams (Va.), Run 4 Roses (Ky.) and Battle in the Boro (Tenn.).
● The girls’ 14U Blue team won championships at Uptown Challenge, Hoops in the Sun and Future Talent and our 14U White team won its division at the USA Invitational.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
● Our 14U boys’ team won the prestigious B-Ball Spotlight Memorial Day Classic and the Grand Finale and competed in the AAU Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
● The 13U boys’ team won the Tillary Park Championship and the BasketBull Junior National Invitational at the Basketball Hall of Fame.
● Our 12U boys’ team won the AAU Regional championship as well as the Hoops in the Sun crown and they traveled to Hampton, Va. for the AAU nationals.
● Our girls 13U team won the USJN Nationals and the Dorney Park Invitational and our 12U team won the Garden State Easter Tip-Off, the Zero Gravity Hudson Valley Showdown and Think Pink events and went undefeated at the NJ Sparks Classic.
