With the support of the NY Knicks and the NBRPA’s “Legends of Basketball”, New Heights launched our first annual 3 on 3 Challenge raising over $150,000 for our College Bound program. With New Heights Board Member John Rodin as Event Chair, we hosted a 16 team tournament of teams representing some of the most prestigious and philanthropic companies in the NYC finance sector. Former Knick great John Starks joined by current Knick Malik Rose provided opening comments punctuated by an easy one-handed three pointer (Starks’ still got it) to kick off the event. Former Net Jayson Williams also watched the action and Armond Hill, NBA Legend and Boston Celtics Assistant Coach, made an appearance joined by Celtics rookies Brandon Wallace and Gabe Pruitt.
